LIbrary Field Trip

 

Second grade went to the Davis County Library 

to launch our reading goal for the term.

 

 

We learned all about the library and the

resources there that we can use.

We also learned how to get our own library card.

 

After we got back to school we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and set a goal to read through 10 books by the end of the first term.  Our bookmarks will help us to keep on track as we work towards our goal.

We are very hungry for books in 2nd grade!

Second grade is a year full of reading.  Each student is working hard to read 10 books by the end of the term. Every book you finish will grow your caterpillar another segment. After you finish a book, have your parent sign the completion form and return it to school.  I can't wait to watch our caterpillars grow.

Math:We will learn to use some math strategies: number line, make-ten and mental math. Also, we will begin to learn more about number bonds.

Culture: Sept.10 is Chinese Teacher’s Day and we will make a card to show our gratitude to our teachers.
